Illiteracy Stinks

Needing to do laundry, I inquired at the hotel desk and was happy to learn there is a coin-operated washer and dryer in the basement. Cheerfully making my way to the basement to check out the situation, this is what greeted me:

Not only are the words a mystery, the symbols don't even tell me what I need to know. *Sigh* Ignorance definitely is NOT bliss. ;-)

Looks totally confusing to me. Maybe if you just start pushing buttons you will figure it out???

BTW - You might want to delete your previous commenter and start moderating your comments. Some people are so ignorant....

Did you guess your way through it? I bet this is what it's like to be an alien.

Carol! You're priceless! I love your blog.
This is one of those things that never comes to mind when you move to another country. Talk about language immersion!
I would probably do what Tammy suggested and just start pressing buttons...or you may luck out and get to watch someone in action.

Wow Carol imagine my surprise to stop by your blog to find that you moved to the Netherlands without telling any of your old friends. Sounds wonderful!

Chris, how awful of me! I've talked about it a lot on Facebook and I know at least Jodene has commented on it. I honestly thought I mentioned it to Pam on the phone before we left the States. Now that our internet is up I will try to keep in touch better.
